Anne Mustoe is a bicycle travel writer. She started travel cycling after seeing, through the bus window, a cyclist alone in the Great Thar Desert in
India. She felt what we all have felt once, that desire for freedom, loneliness, the feeling that the World could be ours. She was 51 at that time, it took her 4 years to quit her job and get on the road. She started her trip around the world in 1983 at 54 which gave the cycle touring best seller
A Bike Ride.
Since then she has traveled many countries and wrote 7 books.
Sadly Anne Mustoe passed away on 10 November 2009, after a short illness, in Aleppo (Haleb) Syria, whilst on her third global Tour at 76.
